Sensei Geri and Bruce Buttler are the founders of Lacombe Karate & Kickboxing. They have been training in Zen Karate since 1987 and are members of the Canadian Zen Karate Association of Canada. Sensei Bruce is a Certified Second Degree Black Belt and Sensei Geri is a Certified Third Degree Black Belt in Zen Karate. Sensei Geri was inducted into the Canadian Open Martial Arts Hall of fame in 1997 by the Canadian Martial Arts Association. She has won the Women’s Black Belt Sparring Grand Championship four times. In addition, she has won over 150 different divisions in her tournament career before retiring from competition.
